Christian Aid Wimborne

St Catherine's church is part of Christian Aid Wimborne Area and supports it in its fundraising social events, as well as Christian Aid Week. While our church has its own overseas development charity, CAFOD, it is good to join in with the other churches of Wimborne in supporting those in need.
In particular, the annual Christian Aid Week is an opportunity to reach the public, and draw attention to their mission: “to create a world where everyone can live a full life, free from poverty”.
Christian Aid holds weekly lunches in Wimborne throughout Lent for people of all faiths and none. This provides an important community role as well as raising funds.
Members of St Catherine’s are invited to attend these events as well as volunteer their help.
