Altar Servers within the Parish are part of the Guild of St Stephen (www.guildofststephen.org).

Altar Servers assist the Priest during the Mass and other Services, so the Priest can focus on leading the people in Worship. This assistance is provided by carrying out various roles including Book Bearer, Acolyte, Crucifer and Bell Ringer to name a few. Altar Servers also assist the Sacristan to help prepare before and to clear up after the Mass/Service.

Anyone can be an Altar Server; you just need to have made your First Holy Communion (so from the age of 8 years and above).
