The Parish collections occur every two weeks, when the two weekend collections are counted and recorded. Included in the counting may be money accumulated for the coffee mornings, votive candle offerings and sundry other small sums, as well as any special collections such as the occasional CAFOD offerings or proceeds from parish evening events.

Currently, we have seven pairs of counters – all counting is carried out in pairs – so the duty for any pair may not recur until fourteen weeks have passed. There are also two bankers who consolidate the bi-weekly counts. They complete the bagging of coins, make out the banking slips and pay in the accumulated money.
