Presbytery and Church in Wimborne ~1930 The old church ( named St Michael's) was a wooden hut placed on the site ~1930 but it was a constant source of hopeless expenditure. In June 1933 the first foundation stone was laid for the new church of St Catherine's and in November it was blessed and consecrated and the first mass was celebrated.
