SEA SUNDAY 13 JULY 2008 - On this day we remember the work of the Apostleship of the Sea, an independent charitable agency of the Catholic Church which provides pastoral and practical help to seafarers visiting our shores. AOS depends entirely on voluntary donations. We have had a great many second collections recently and a very important one for the Sick and Retired Clergy of our Diocese will be taken on 26/27 July. In view of this we shall not have a second collection for AOS but we shall make a donation from Church funds. If you wish to make your own extra contribution, please put this in an envelope marked AOS and put it in the collection basket this weekend or next. |

FATHER STEVEN BULAMBO is visiting our parish for a couple of days on Wednesday 16th and Thursday 17th July and will be saying Mass at 7.00 pm Wednesday evening. Mass will be followed by light refreshments in the Hall. He comes from Malawi and looks forward to meeting those whom he met last year. |
