GET READY FOR LENT - Ash Wednesday is on 17 February. This is a day of fasting and abstinence (one main meal, no alcohol). There will be Mass with distribution of Ashes at 10.30 am and 7.30 pm. Two booklets to help you with your daily prayer during Lent are available-”Walk with Me” and “My Day by Day” at £1 each. |

LENT CHOIR - The Lent choir that sings at the Service of Lights will begin practices on Monday 22 February at 7.30-8.30 pm in the Church Hall. There will be weekly practices every Monday throughout Lent with the service itself taking place on Tuesday 30 March. New members very welcome. It is not expected that you can read music. FAIRTRADE FORTNIGHT 22 Feb-7 March - During this period there will be a Fairtrade Fayre on Thursday 25 February at 7.30 pm at the Sustainable Education Centre, Queen Elizabeth School. The event will focus, alongside familiar Fairtrade goods, on less familiar items, so come and be surprised. Much of the organisation of the evening will be by students from the school, who are deeply committed to the principles of Fairtrade, in creating opportunities for poorer countries to trade. |
