Sunday the 20th of May was a truly uplifting day for 21 of our children who made their 1st Holy communion, not only spiritually, but the weather was kind to us also. The children: Madeleine, Niamh, Giulia, Sara, Rachael, Jade, Maddy, Francesca, Louis, Hannah, George, Sophie, Oliver, Isabella, Marcus, Claire, Harry, Evie, Sofia, Christopher and Garielle have started their long journey in receiving this most sacred sacrament and expressed their joy in doing so with the following prayers they made up in their lessons:
Many relatives travelled from far and wide and were truly moved by the hymns, starting with 'Bring Flowers of the Rarest' and ending with the Joyous 'Colours of Day'. Afterwards the children had the usual photo call on the front lawn then into the hall for drinks and nibbles. Tracy Deary came up trumps yet again, with a wonderful cake with all the children’s names iced on top.
