Feeding the Donkeys Fruit song in Tree House
Outside the Grape Press area Start of the visit
On the Tree House steps View from the Tree House

(Using the tune for “He jumped from 40,000 ft” – here’s the song!)

He’s a peach of a Saviour
He’s the apple of my eye
He prunes back the branches
When the branches get too high.
He bears fruit in season
And his love will never die
And that’s why we’re bananas for the Lord

Glory, glory Alleluia (repeat twice)
And that’s why we’re bananas for the Lord!

Reconciliation
The photos show our First Holy Communion class of 12 visiting a private, local vineyard.  The visit took place in October 2005 and allowed the children to see vines, grapes and a little of the wine making process. The idea behind the visit was to allow the children to relate to some of the stories in the Bible and to the words of Jesus “I am the vine, you are the branches”. We have considered the use of wine in daily lives (eg celebrations) and its significance in Jesus’ Last Supper. We had a glorious day out which made a change from the church hall and enjoyed stroking donkeys, strolling amongst the vines with the owner explaining about the care of the vines and even an action song in a large tree house!
