Confirmation 2008 - Between 25 – 27 Jan 2008, 17 Confirmation candidates and 3 catechists joined the Diocesan Confirmation Retreat held at Buckfast, which was run by Fr Trevor Jordan and ‘Pathways’ his team of three.  It was a holistic experience with fun, good food and spiritual gain – the most popular activity being the reconciliation service on Saturday night.

The team were wonderful and we were all helped to think, reflect and grow our friendship with Jesus as well as one another.  We also met up with and made friends with others from around the diocese.

Our group was the largest there and we are looking forward to our follow-up day, which is to be held on Saturday 12th April at Chantmarle a Christian Retreat Centre located between Dorchester and Yeovil.  Fr Trevor and his team will be coming up from Plymouth, which we are all excited about and to this end we are holding fund-raising events to help with the cost. Our first fund-raiser was a cake sale on Sunday 3rd February (same day as our Mass of Commitment) and we would all like to say a big THANK YOU to everyone who very generously donated.  With parishioners’ help, the Confirmation group has raised £142.00!!
