The picture on the left shows John Peacock receiving a certificate from Father Frank Thompson MHM in recognition of his 32 years as local secretary for the APF/Mill Hill Missionaries.  The certificate is signed by Archbishop Vincent Nichols, Canon James Cronin (National Director of the APF) and Father Anthony Chantry (the General Superior of the Mill Hill Missionaries).

2011 marked the 75th anniversary of the APF/Mill Hill Missionaries Red-Box scheme.

APF/MILL HILL MISSIONARIES (Missio)- gives financial support to the poorest mission dioceses throughout the world.  Money for this purpose is raised through the Red Box scheme whereby parishioners are asked to have a collection box in their home.  Volunteer collectors empty these boxes twice a year and distribute a Mission Magazine.  The money raised is sent via the Diocesan Director to a central fund and distributed to the neediest mission dioceses.
