First Reconciliation
& First Holy Communion

Our Preparation Classes for both Sacraments begin in September. First Reconciliation is celebrated during Advent with First Holy Communion being received in May.  

Please note that all Candidates should be in Year 3 or above when the classes begin.

A group of 12 children met approximately twice a month through Winter 05/06 to May 06 for their preparation classes. There was also one class held in June after the children had received their First Holy Communion.  Children also attended Mass as a class once a month and once a term there was a chance for the parents to gather for input/discussion.  The children made their First Reconciliation in the first week of December and received their First Holy Communion on 14th May 2006.

Class of 2007

Registration has closed for this year's class and we now have 20 children who have started their preparation classes so that they can receive their First Holy Communion in 2007. Each has a prayer partner who will help them through this period with their prayers and each will be learning about Confession, Communion and how it all fits into our Catholic faith.  The children receive their first Sacrament of Reconciliation on 2nd December 2006 and their First Holy Communion on 20th May.  Over the year we will be posting updates about their progress, so watch this space!
