Diary of Anniversaries – If you would like to add any names to the diary, please fill in a form (in porch) or write details on plain paper, and hand in to the office. Include name of deceased and date of death, plus name of person submitting request. Details will be added to the diary when it is next updated, and names will appear in the bulletin at the appropriate time each year.

 
     
 

The Smile Train – Thank you to everyone who sponsored the cycle ride on 4 July by Chris Turner. We raised a fantastic £150 at St Anthony's, which is enough for one cleft palate operation on a child. We shall hear in due course the overall total raised by Chris.

 
     
 

The Big Tidy Up – Do you take a pride in the area in which you live? Would you like to give your area a spring clean? Poole Council is looking for volunteers to join England's biggest ever litter-pick and help tidy your corner of the community. More info from www.thebigtidyup.org or '01202 261747. Poole Council can provide volunteers with litter picking equipment, gloves, bags, etc. and will collect the waste.

 
     
 

Plymouth Diocesan Pastoral Council –a copy of the latest minutes is in the porch, which includes some of the 'new' translations of the Missal. It is hoped to have minutes of meetings posted on this website in future. Watch out for them! To read about the new translation of the Missal click on the link on the right.

Mass Times in Bournemouth – The Sacred Heart and other churches now have one fewer Mass at weekends. This is an indication of the smaller number of priests available in our country. 

 
     
 

Did You Know ….. that CAFOD started in 1960, when a small group of mums in England organised a Family Fast Day for a mother and baby healthcare programme on the island of Dominica? The ladies hoped to raise £500, but actually collected over £6.000 – that's £100,000 in today's money! Solidarity continues to be one of CAFOD's strengths today. (more about CAFOD coming in the weeks ahead)

Marriage Care – is a voluntary organisation that provides professional counselling in any situation where there are relationship difficulties. Bibles – beautifully produced bibles are now in stock at £15 each. CTS Bible with the translation which we hear at Mass, and the New Revised Standard version. They are both very easy to read. There are also many booklets on the CTS stand at the back of the church. Do have a look. Mass and other cards are available in the glass cabinet in the porch.
